We are found at 724 Pacific Avenue in Tacoma, WA. A few doors down from Odd Otter, and almost directly across the street from Matador.

Right here on our website! Head to the Events page. But fair warning: our space is intimate (about 100 seats), so shows often sell out fast. If there are still seats remaining, they may be purchased at the theatre starting one hour before showtime.

No way. We're not greedy like that. Look, we’re happy to have you come out. Times are tough, finances are tight… We’re not gonna bully you into buying something you don’t want.

All kinds. Experimental theatre, immersive experiences, cabarets, one-person shows, storytelling nights, puppet mayhem, improv, comedy, maybe even the occasional oddball magic act. Not everything will be your cup of tea—but we like to think there’s always something worth sipping.

Yes! Our space is ADA Accommodating. Because it’s a historic building built before modern codes, we have the ability to add a ramp to our entrance to make sure anyone can access our shows. If you have specific needs, feel free to reach out ahead of time—we’re happy to help.

Some shows are family-friendly, some… not so much. We trust you know what’s best for them. We recommend checking the specific event details for age guidance. Unless a show specifically states that there is a minimum age requirement, we won’t turn . When in doubt, feel free to ask us!

All shows will have concessions available (and sometimes weird themed cocktails because, well… Lumora). Outside food and drinks aren’t allowed. But, we have a small snacks and an assortment of beverages. We’ve also got some amazing neighbors on our block serving some of Tacoma’s best meals.

So glad you asked! We’d love to have you in the mix. Reach out to us via phone/email.

The running time of the show depends on the specific performance. However, on the Events page, each event will have an approximate running time.
-
45 minutes before showtime. We start our shows on time. We encourage arriving early—grab your seat, get a drink, soak in the vibe, have a conversation with another human being. Late arrivals might have to wait for a scene break, depending on the show.
-
Nope! But don’t worry—every seat in our theatre is a good one.

All sales are final.

We get it, for some it’s a deal breaker. We do this to protect the art being produced at Lumora. To protect new art, respect risk-taking, and keep us all present. This is done at the artists request and will be clearly stated for the events that require this.
Also, the bags we use still allow you to text. So if you need to communicate with a babysitter, you’re gonna have no problem. -
Lumora Theatre is produced by Mass+Matter (a recognized 501(c)(3) organization).

Some have called us Tacoma’s Black Box Theatre. Some have called us Tacoma’s Best Comedy Club. Some have called us Gods among mortals. Labels are cheap and unhelpful, so we don’t comment.
